Moses Agyegong, a resident of Kasoa in the Central Region, drowned in his own overwhelming shame in the wee hours of Saturday.
The suspect allegedly was one of the first to cast his ballot at his polling station after the polls were opened. After casting what is presumed to be a “foolish vote”, Mr. Agyegong had the self-awareness to go into a state of sober reflection and isolated himself for some hours to contemplate the grievous harm he had just contributed in creating.

He was heard loudly wondering if the 500ml bottle of oil and the one cup of rice his palms had been greased with was the entirety of his worth as a citizen, and the realization that he had done a foolish thing drove him into a frenzy.
After logging on to Facebook and realizing that other “citizens” had been paid in substantial dollars for their votes which counted the same as his, Moses was confronted with an engulfing sense of inferiority and could not help his tears at that point.

He remembered arguing on social media just a few weeks ago over the words “vote wisely” and how he should have been a bit wiser about his choices.
Mr. Agyegong was engulfed in a shame to profound, he choked and spluttered till he was barely conscious. Luckily for him, he was discovered right in time and slapped back to his senses. But the harm had been done. He had already voted foolishly.
